Shea Butter

Origin: West Africa (Burkina Faso, Ghana, Mali)

Benefits: Excellent moisturizing and repairing lipids, rich in unsaponifiables. Deeply nourishes dry, cracked skin, forms a protective film, soothes eczema and dermatitis, improves skin elasticity, and protects against UV damage.

Usage: Widely used in creams, lotions, lipsticks, hand creams, and body butter. It can be melted in the oil phase (melting point approximately 32-45°C) or added directly after cold preparation and beating.

Precautions: Unrefined shea butter has a natural nutty scent, while refined shea butter has a milder scent. It has a rich texture; those with oily skin should use it sparingly.
